Disc Commander

Disc Commander is a fully featured Disc Toolkit and editing application. It also includes all the virus scanning facilities of VZap. This is the full version, available on a 14 day trial period as Shareware. After this trial period has expired, you should register if you continue to use Disc Commander.

LabelBase

LabelBase has been designed to enable the user to create and maintain a database, the size of which is limited only by your disc space, with up to ten simple-to-define fields per record. Each record is organised like a simple card index and can easily be edited, amended or deleted at a later date. Field titles can even be edited once the database has been setup. Powerful search routines let you match one or two search strings with any, or all, fields using one of six different match criteria. If required, any matching records can be sent to a file, thus creating a second, stand-alone, database if required.
Sorts can be carried out on any field, either in an ascending or descending manner. Again the sorted records can be sent to another database file if required.
However, LabelBase's most powerful feature is it's ability to output your data in virtually any label format you care to create. Variable size labels with variable sized paper can be used and records can be printed out either individually, as a specific batch containing one or more records, or the complete database can be output. A secondary search can be performed whilst actually printing labels. Specific page layouts can be saved to disc so that you can use different label formats with different types of label stationery.
LabelBase also meets the RSA Computer Literacy and Information Technology (CLAIT) database test requirements for anyone studying RSA CLAIT examinations.

LabelBase II is currently under development. This is aimed to not only be a more powerful database, but is also hoped to be a multi-media authoring system as well. A seperate web page will be setup soon!

Thoth

WordSearch

Version: 1.02 (9th February 1996)

!WordSearch allows you to create word puzzles by entering a list of words into this RISC OS application. The computer will then hide them vertically, horizontally or diagonally within a grid of random letters. You can then export the word search into other wimp applications.
A number of other features are available, such as showing where the words are hidden and changing the size of the word grid - even after words have been added.
